About
I'm a mission-driven systems administrator with expertise in designing and maintaining secure, scalable IT infrastructure. Currently serving as a Senior Computer Specialist at the University of Washington, where I manage enterprise Linux/Windows servers, HIPAA-regulated clinical systems, and support academic, research, and clinical operations.
My passion lies in solving complex infrastructure challenges, automating operational processes, and building systems that prioritize security, compliance, and reliability. I thrive in high-pressure environments, balancing rapid problem-solving with clear communication and integrity. Certified in JAMF Pro, HIMSA NOAH, Cyber Incident Response, and Agile, I combine technical depth with strategic vision to drive operational excellence and enterprise reliability.
I'm also deeply engaged in international relations, cybersecurity, and community development, grounded in spiritual mentorship and civic leadership. Outside of work, I'm passionate about AI development, technology, spirituality/philosophy, in addition I play three instruments: harmonium, tabla, and dholki. I also love cooking, reading, traveling, and cheering for Manchester United! My mission is to lead with integrity, empower teams, and build resilient IT ecosystems that enable people and organizations to succeed.
Currently, I'm exploring the intersection of technology and humanities by developing an AI-powered librarian system trained on historical manuscripts, classical literature, and religious/philosophical texts from Northwest India. This project combines my passion for technology, cultural heritage, and community impact through innovative LLM applications.

View on LinkedIn"Jasvant really walks the walk as a professional dedicated to elite customer service. I often was a client of his and can attest that he never made me feel less than for being unable to overcome my IT challenges on my own (even when I might have deserved *some* judgement because the solution was simple). In a space that is often occupied by people that are unable to explain complexity or are dismissive, Jasvant has always valued being the complete opposite and it shows in everything he does. I am sad I don't get the pleasure of working with him now, and am glad for anyone who is lucky enough to benefit from his talents and smile from his "Live. Laugh. Love." email signature."

View on LinkedIn"There isn't an IT challenge Jasvant can't tackle! Every support ticket I submitted was handled with grace, efficiency, and a touch of humor. Working in the fundraising shop (a unit within the umbrella Jasvant served), our processes and programs can be unique compared to the rest of the college. Yet I always felt completely supported with my computer needs, and I trusted Jasvant to provide the latest advice on emerging trends (like whether to switch to New Outlook or wait while considering fundraising-specific integrations). Even when the issue was user error on my end, I never felt belittled or bothersome. Thank you, Jasvant, for being a true people-first leader in this space!"
"I had the pleasure of working with Jasvant in the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Washington and can say without hesitation that he is both an exceptionally skilled IT professional and a genuinely wonderful colleague. His technical knowledge is deep and reliable, but what truly sets him apart is how approachable, patient, and generous he is with that expertise. Jasvant was helpful to me on numerous occasions and consistently went out of his way to support my team. He has a rare ability to explain complex technical issues clearly and calmly, which made a real difference in keeping work moving forward and reducing stress for those around him. Beyond his technical strengths, Jasvant brings kindness, professionalism, and a collaborative spirit to every interaction. He is the kind of colleague you trust, enjoy working with, and are grateful to have on your team. Any organization would be fortunate to work with him."
